If you haven’t either, and you just happen to stumble upon this post whilst browsing the internet, you’re probably wondering what Gas Station Simulator is like? And should you start playing? Well, I did some research, and to understand Gas Station Simulator, you’ll first need to understand what Roblox is as a platform so you’ll know what to expect out of the game:
What is Roblox?
Roblox is an online game platform and game creation system made by the Roblox Corporation. The platform allows users to program games as well as play games created by other users. It was released in 2006 and now hosts tons of user-created games of multiple genres. All of the games on Roblox are made by using the programming language Lua. Users can create their own gaming world by using the Roblox Studio application.
In a way, it’s similar to those free browser games that were popular in the mid-2000s and you play on certain websites such as Miniclip. You go into the website, you choose a game you want to play, and you’re good to go. However, there are a couple of key differences with Roblox. First, you will need to create a Roblox account before you start playing. To make an account, simply choose a username and input your password. You don’t even need to tie it to an email account. Like most other Roblox games, Gas Station Simulator is pretty straightforward: earn money, buy things to earn money, and buy more cool things. The makers of the game will usually update the game every few months so that you’ll have more things to buy and play with in the game.
In Gas Station Simulator, the majority of your income will come from selling excess fuel that you have. You will start by buying an oil well and a fuel tank. Then you will sell the excess fuel to earn money, which then should be used to buy a gas pump and hire a gas pump attendee. Afterward, use the extra fuel and money to research various things in the game, such as the hydro and e-power research. This will then unlock various things that you can purchase and give you more sources of income.
Additionally, you can also purchase cars to drive around in the game. And of course, you can refill them with fuel. However, aside from that, the cars don’t really have any other function in the game. That’s really all there is to it to the game!

Is Gas Station Simulator Worth Playing?
Is it worth playing? Since it’s free, definitely yes. As mentioned, all Roblox games are free-to-play, so all you need to do is set up a Roblox account, download the game, and start playing! There are no pay-to-win schemes either since in-game transactions using Robux are mostly for buying cool items for your avatar, which doesn’t affect the gameplay. Admittedly, some Roblox games will have some sort of “pass” which will earn you double cash or you can use Robux to purchase in-game cash in some games, but it doesn’t really affect the gameplay and it’s just for easing the level of grind that you will experience.
All-in-all, microtransactions are unnecessary, unless there’s an accessory that you really want for your avatar. Otherwise, if the idea of owning and running your own gas station sounds fun to you, then yes you start playing Gas Station Simulator! If not, there are literally hundreds of other games on Roblox that you can play instead.
How Do I Make My Own Roblox Game?
Okay, maybe you’ve played some games on Roblox and now you’re thinking of making your own game on Roblox. Surprisingly, this isn’t too difficult, but making a decent game will obviously be a lot more complex. I won’t go into deep on how to design your own game since really the steps depend on what kind of game you want to make. And really, I’m not a game designer so I probably won’t give you the best advice.
To keep it simple, the first step is obviously to download and install Roblox Studio. Once opened, you’ll be greeted by several templates that you can use to design your game. You can either use the Baseplate to design it completely from scratch or use one of the existing map templates. From there on, use the tools in Roblox Studio to add assets into the game. Here’s a quick guide on how to design an obstacle game in Roblox Studio:
Designing is no easy task, and even designing a basic but decent game can take up to a month. But if you want to, you can, and that’s the point of Roblox Studio.
What You Will Need to Start Playing Roblox
As mentioned, you don’t need a gaming PC that costs thousands of dollars to start playing Roblox. This is part of the reason why the platform has grown in popularity. In fact, nowadays you can play Roblox on an Android phone. However, we still recommend playing it on a PC for the best experience. Here’s the spec that Roblox recommends if you want to start playing on your PC:
- CPU: 1.6 GHz or better, most processors released after the year 2005 will do just fine. Note that some older AMD processors may have issues with the game.
- RAM: 1 GB.
- OS: Roblox will install on Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1, or Windows 10. For Windows 8/8.1 you will need to run Roblox in Desktop Mode.
- Video Card: DirectX 9 minimum and Shader Model 2.0. Most computers less than five years old with a dedicated video card will do just fine, says Roblox. Or if you have a laptop with an integrated video card, anything less than three years old is fine.
- Disk Space: 20 MB
As you can see, you don’t need an insanely-specced gaming PC with custom water cooling to play Roblox. Although having a better computer wouldn’t hurt the experience either. Anyway, most three to five-year-old PCs should have adequate specs for you to start playing Roblox. Or if you don’t have one, you can get a PC or a laptop for less than $500 that already has more than adequate performance to play Roblox.
Gas Station Simulator Tips
The Gas Station Simulator gameplay is pretty simple since all you need to do is earn money to buy more things that will make you more money. Here are some tips on how you can earn money quicker, starting from, well, how you should start in the game:
What to Do at the Start
As mentioned, at the start of the game you will need to buy an oil well and fuel tank. Once you have fuel, you can resell them to earn back the money you just spent. Afterward, you should buy a gas pump so you can start selling the fuel you own to the NPC motorists. You can operate the gas pump yourself and manually fill up the NPC’s cars with gas. Or to make your job easier, you can hire an attendee so that they will refill automatically whilst you roam about waiting until you earn enough money. Of course, the attendee will cost money but we recommend doing the latter anyway.
Once you earn more money, it’s recommended that you spend the money on more storage and oil production. Afterward, just keep selling the excess fuel to earn more money.
Research Hydro Fuel
The makers of the game don’t specify this, but we assume Hydro in the game just means hydrogen fuel. While hydrogen fuel hasn’t really taken off like we thought it would back in the early 2000s, Hydro fuel is very useful in Roblox Gas Station Simulator. Seasoned players of Gas Station Simulator recommend getting the hydro-research once you can afford it. Don’t be afraid to spend your money on research rather than keeping on upgrading your gas pump. Unless you’re a fossil fuel purist and you want to pretend that you’re “Big Oil”.
After researching hydro, you can sell the gas equipment and replace it with hydro equipment instead since they pay more. But you can keep the gas pumps if you like. Purchase hydrolizers to make hydrogen, hydro pumps to pump hydrogen into cars, and hydro tanks to store excess hydro. If you have room for extra pumps, then simply add more hydro pumps to your gas station. Well, technically it’s a hydrogen station now, but I digress. Anyway, if you don’t have the room for extra pumps, upgrade the pumps to earn more money.
Research e-Power
Once you earn more money from the hydro pumps, the next step is to research e-Power or electric power. E-Power will earn you more money than hydro, but you don’t necessarily have to sell off the hydro pumps and other equipment. Once you do the research, install electric pumps, as well as solar panels to make electricity and batteries to store the electricity.
Create Storage, Sell Off the Excess
All three types of fuel (gas, hydro, electricity) require a storage system so that you can store the fuel that you’ve created or bought. Keep in mind that you’re better off gathering your own fuel rather than buying them. But anyway, over time you will have excess fuel since the car traffic might be low sometimes and you won’t sell as much. This is why having large storage is useful since you can store more excess fuel and then sell them off for a significant amount of money. In fact, this is one of the best ways to make money in the game.
As mentioned, e-power makes more money than hydro, and hydro makes more money than gas. A small amount of e-power can be sold for about twice the value of gas, giving you tons of money even after a short period of storing e-power. Be sure to invest in storage so you can store more fuel and sell them off for a large amount of money later on. Once you have generators (that’s the oil well, hydrolizer, and solar panel), it will fill up the storage automatically. You can spend the time going to other player’s gas stations, driving around in your car, or operating a fuel pump instead. Then check back to the management panel later on to sell the excess fuel.
Should You Rebirth?
Rebirth is an interesting mechanic in Gas Station Simulator that keeps players coming back to the game. As the name implies, rebirthing means that you start the game from scratch, this resets your research, money, and your gas station. You also won’t be able to reuse the codes that you have used. The upside is that you will still keep the car that you bought, and earn extra 15% cash every time a car fills up at your station. Additionally, the generators will produce fuel 15% faster so you can sell excess fuel more often. You will need to meet the following requirements to do a rebirth:
- You must have $5,000,000 cash in hand.
- Must have researched e-power.
If you meet the requirements, you can do a rebirth. Why might you want to do a rebirth? Well, doing a rebirth is simply a way for you to play the game over again once you’ve finished the game by installing e-power pumps. Rebirthing is recommended when you want to keep playing the game in the long term.
Even though you lose all progress when you rebirth, the extra 15% income bonus technically means you will finish the game 15% faster. You can rebirth as much as you like as long as you meet the requirements. Rebirth is a big part of the game that there’s even a leaderboard for it. While reaching the top 10 of the leaderboard might take some effort since a lot of players have now done hundreds of rebirths, you should still use the rebirth function if you want to play the game for a long period of time.
